The hipster Holy Grail: a bike that talks to your iPhone.
It’s sort of like ‘Biking 2.0’ — whereby cheap electronics allow us to augment bikes and convert them into a more flexible, on-demand system
The iPhone is hardly hip. In fact it fits the definition of “craze” which implies it is utterly mainstream. Mainstream has never been hip. In fact hipsters usually go out of their way NOT to be mainstream (sometimes to an absurd degree).
A craze is a product, idea, cultural movement, or model that gains popularity among a small section of the populace then quickly migrates to the mainstream. (wikipedia)
